Shoo-Fly Covers & Noodle/Stove Boards

My husband and I have been busy little bees working on making some super prim 'Shoo-Fly Covers and Noodle/Stove Boards.. I think they are turning out just as I had imagined in my head. I am in the process of primin' up the first Shoo-Fly cover to give it the beloved 'tattered and torn, loved and worn look.. As I prim them up I imagine an old southern plantation kitchen worker gal using them to cover the pies she just pulled out of the hot oven to place in the large windowsill to cool... My husband is out in the garage cutting beautiful old wood for the 2 noodle/stove boards as I type. I'm excited to get to painting them when he is done. I will make sure to post pictures this week. We will have some large Shoo-Fly Covers for sale and looking for fresh baked pies to cover!

Waiting for a piece of pie I bet! xox
