Sam's club = prim goodies?

A great way to recycle those big Sam's club plastic containers!

A blog affair?..Oh my!

I would like to share with you a very special
piece of my heart.

One morning as I sat down to work on Josh's bog, I received the most wonderful and unexpected email. It was from a nice lady named Melissa. She explained that she follows my blog and just wanted to send me an email to let me know that she was thinking of me and hoped my absence was for happy reasons and not worrisome. Of course she worded it way more beautifully and eloquently then I am able to recreate in this lil' post. It touched me so very much. It was almost as if fate took control and gave me a hug when I was feeling blue working on my nephew's blog. I emailed her back to thank her for such kindness and I think the flood gates opened and before I knew it, I found myself explaining to her all about Josh's blog and how much it meant to my heart to get it started. She returned my email with her gentle kind words knowing exactly what to say to once again give me a warm hug. I shared the blog with her and was so comforted knowing she would not view his blog as a stranger peeking in but as a cherished family friend, visiting our Josh's blog with a warm heart and knowing what he meant to his family. She once again returned my email in her same comforting gentle words, but this time she truly surprised me and gave me goosebumps on my arms.. She asked if she could make a donation towards one of the items we had up to raise money for all the legalities it takes to make a future foundation in Josh's name so that one day, it can be an official, non-profit foundation. I was completely blown away at her generosity in reaching out to a family that she had never met, to make a donation. Not only did she make a donation, but along with her donation money, she sent me a gift. I wanted to share this story of Melissa with all of my friends here and ask that you wish her a happy thought. I can't even begin to thank Melissa, and all of you for being the most thoughtful, supporting, caring and loving group of wonderful people in the whole world. I truly cherish all of you. I really, really do.
xoxo Thank you.

Curtain swap anyone?... This is what I have....

I don't know if anyone is feelin' a swap, but if you are,
please just let me know! I would love to send those
dark red valances off to a new good home and swap them
for something in cream, mustard, pumpkin, or even
something I haven't thought of yet! lol
Surprise me! You all are so talented and have
tons of great ideas! I would LOVE to hear any thoughts
you might have! I do know how to sew on a machine,
so if you have some ideas for something that I could make,
then I'd love to hear that as well!

I will be so excited tonight wondering if anyone
wants to swap or has ideas..

We will be attending my daughter's
High School Freshman open house tonight,
so I won't be able to peek in until tomorrow morning..
But, I will stop in as soon as
I wipe the sleep out of my peepers...
Oh, and grab some coffee!

Thank you for taking the time to peek in!
With love,

Giveaway day! The winner is.....

The winner was picked using the random.org
thinga'ma'bobbin random number picker'ma jiggy..

Thank you so very much, each and every sweetie-heart
one of you. I surely do appreciate you taking the
time out of your busy day to join the Giveaway and
leave me a wonderful comment..

I am so thrilled to have made such
wonderful new friends!

I wish that I had a gift for everyone,
I truly do! I even mentioned it to
my husband last night. I told him
that it makes me feel bad that there
will only be one winner in the morning, and that
it doesn't seem very hospitable of me
not to have a gift for everyone..

It was then that he kindly reminded me of my
7 beautiful children and the long school clothes shopping and
school supply list we have awaiting us for 5 of them this weekend..

I was a little worried that he was about to say that
money doesn't grow on trees... and that we aren't the
Rockefellers... but he was understanding and simply
just said "well, I guess that means you'll just have to
have another giveaway soon."

Ok, I like that idea!

With love,
Jobeth xoxo

Halloween is in the air!

Getting started on a few fun lil' Halloween blocks for
our upcoming Halloween Open House.

Don't ya just love little Halloween mice!

The first of many Halloween trees..
I think I have silicon dipped more grubby
Halloween light strands
then Santa sees on Christmas! Whew!
You can find these great "BOO" printables over at
The Graphics Fairy -blog!
Aren't they neat!
What to do, what to do.
I need to start spookin' up cabinets!

The first prim pumpkins I ever made..
so many long years ago!

The first of many batches of room sprays for
our Halloween Open House..
Oh my gosh, even my children smell like
Halloween from testing them! ha!

Gettin' tons of little tables made too!

Oodles of peg racks.. Big..

and small...

Snowmen ghosts!
All you have to do is remove their
spooky cheesecloth after Halloween and BAM!
You're all set for winter! ha!

Stockings & more stockings...

I have about 20 cats ready for the Open House..
My goodness, they are tucked everywhere!
Chubby, thin, short, long & tall...
All different shapes and sizes,
The same way I love my friends to be!

I think this one smells the new pantry cakes
with tin candle holders that
I have bakin' in the oven right now..

When I go out to the garage,
I have a ton of smiling pumpkins lookin' at me..
They are waiting to come into the house..
...and a few waiting to be painted..
They make me a lil' nervous!
Thank you for kindly stopping over
to visit with me!
I will be adding more pictures as I
tweak the house for the wonderful
Fall season!
With love,

P.S. Here is the link for those super cute
BOO printables!
I added white glitter to the white areas
for a little sparkle!
